Evaluations

KSi works as part of a team of design professionals with various clients to evaluate the future potential for purchase, reuse, or expansion of existing facilities. This service can save significant funds and result in more efficient planning when the capabilities and limitations of a structural system are known early in the planning or negotiation process. Depending on clinet needs, the scope of services may include:

• Review and evaluation of building code related issues
• Review of any existing project documents dealing with structure
• Review of historical data and industry specifications related to the time period of construction
• A walk through observation of the facility to determine the general condition of the structural system
• Interview facility users or property managers to provide a full picture of the use, operation, and performance of the structural system
• Coordinate work of material testing firms if required
• Structural analysis of the existing structure based on the available information
• Completion of evulation report
